Accessible A Level Chemistry

Sixth Form student Ahmed is studying A Level Chemistry and is very excited about being able to carry out his own practical experiments using adapted equipment.

In a recent Chemistry lesson, Ahmed has been measuring the amount of gas given off when ethanoic acid is added to calcium carbonate!

He is working independently, using an adapted syringe to measure out 30ml of acid, adding it to the calcium carbonate and then using a gas syringe marked with tacti marker to measure the gas produced.

Studying at NCW means that Ahmed can actually do the practical, rather than observing it!
