Team NCW is riding the Etape du Dales

NCW are looking for super keen cyclists to ride the legendary ‘Etape du Dales’ and fundraise for New College Worcester.

We have an eager team of cyclists ‘Team NCW’ that are doing the ‘Etape du Dales’ and raising funds for the College.

The Etape du Dales is a stunning ride through some of the UK’s most remote and scenic countryside. The route of 110 miles covers many of the county’s major climbs and the dales of Wharfedale, Littondale, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Arkengarthdale, Birkdale, Garsdale, Dentdale, Ribblesdale – AND there is not a single set of traffic lights on the whole route!

Our first rider is Tom Piotrowski. Tom has lived in Worcester since 2006, originally from Poland he enjoyed a varied career including project management role in a local authority, business development and charitable sector. Currently Tom works for Platform Housing Group which is the largest social landlord in Worcester and one of the top affordable housing providers in the country. In his spare time he loves cycling and often combines it with fundraising for local charities.

Tom has developed a relationship with New College Worcester through his work by organising workshops and visual impairment awareness sessions. Tom hopes to contribute by doing this challenge to support the fantastic work that NCW does.

Our second rider is Duncan Palmer. Duncan lives in Tenbury Wells, the town in the orchard and has worked at Platform Housing Group for the past 10 years.

Duncan is an avid football fan playing at amateur level across the West Midlands for over 20 years. After retiring from playing football Duncan turned his sporting attention to cycling.

Always up for a challenge, Duncan thought this sounded like the perfect opportunity to combine a great charity event with his new found hobby, hoping to meet some new friends and raise some much needed funds along the way.”

If you would like to join the team or find out more information, please contact Lottie on [email protected] or call 01905 763933.
