News > Comic Relief

As with every year, NCW students once again organised a week full of activities in order to raise money for Comic Relief (11 – 15 March).

On Monday, we saw the return of the Bake Off. After receiving many scrumptious entries, the goods were tasted, judged and the results were in. Sean came in third with his chocolate cupcakes, Ryley placed second with his rich, indulgent chocolate sponge and Ollie baked his way to victory with his delicious bread!

All bakes, cakes and loaves left over were sold at break time on Tuesday!

On Wednesday, students gathered for a very messy and sour Lemon Eating competition, in which students had one minute to eat as many lemon slices as they could! Asher soldiered through and won the competition with 8 slices!

The Youth Club played host to the NCW Talent Show on Thursday evening. We saw acts of all sorts - from impressions and stand-up comedy, to singing and the playing of instruments!

Well done to students who braved it on the stage. After much deliberation, Grace came in second with her Piano piece and talent title went to Chelsea, Syd and Ciara with their rendition of Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me”.

And of course, the week couldn’t end with anything other than an ‘Own Clothes’ day!

Thank you and well done to all students and staff who were involved – we are delighted to say that our Comic Relief week generated £200 for this worthy cause.
