Supporting Primary School Students

A day for parents who have a child with who is vision impaired, or teachers and teaching assistants working with a primary school aged child who is vision impaired.

The course will focus on the acquisition of core skills for primary school students who have a vision impairment and will include a short session looking at ways to help with the development of independent living skills.

Morning session: 

  • Pre-Braille and literacy
  • Living Skills

Afternoon session:

  • Numeracy
  • Mathematics
The price includes lunch and refreshments and the course is free for parents of a child who is vision impaired.
