We need enthusiastic and caring people to work at short notice, with teenage students with a vision impairment, in their social time. The hours would be mainly evening and weekend work, and may include morning shifts up to 09.00. Some shifts may involve sleeping-in, for which there is a paid allowance of £37.07.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic member of staff to provide a high standard of care to students with a vision impairment, in a proficient and sensitive manner that will enhance their academic and social development. Direct contact with the students involves developing and delivering care programmes appropriate to their age and understanding. Experience of ASD and Autism would be an advantage, as would be the ability to be firm and persistent in the face of challenges.
We are seeking to appoint two individuals in the role of Learning Support Assistant /Personal Care Assistant (LSA/PCA) to join our team of LSA/PCAs. These two 20-hour contracts will be 1) to cover Maternity Leave until May 2022, and 2) a one-year contract, temporary in the first instance, with the possibility of leading to permanent positions.
We are looking for two PSAs to join our team of staff who provide a high standard of care to blind and vision impaired students in a proficient and sensitive manner that enhance their academic and social development.
You will be responsible for the care of students in either the Sixth Form residential unit or a Lower School boarding house, the security of the Hostel/House and its residents, fire prevention, providing an orderly environment for sleep to take place and dealing with medical and emotional matters to a level at which you feel capable and confident. Effective oral and writing communication with colleagues is essential.
