We are looking for two PSAs to join our team of staff who provide a high standard of care to blind and vision impaired students in a proficient and sensitive manner that enhance their academic and social development.
You will be responsible for the care of students in either the Sixth Form residential unit or a Lower School boarding house, the security of the Hostel/House and its residents, fire prevention, providing an orderly environment for sleep to take place and dealing with medical and emotional matters to a level at which you feel capable and confident. Effective oral and writing communication with colleagues is essential.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic member of staff to provide a high standard of care to students with a vision impairment, in a proficient and sensitive manner that will enhance their academic and social development. Direct contact with the students involves developing and delivering care programmes appropriate to their age and understanding. Experience of ASD and Autism would be an advantage, as would be the ability to be firm and persistent in the face of challenges.
Technology is life changing for young people with sight loss and we need to appoint someone with the expertise and passion for inclusive education that our students rightly deserve.
Experience of teaching students with a vision impairment is NOT a requirement of the post as the College is primarily interested in appointing a talented and committed teacher who we can train and support to learn the skills needed to teach students who access their learning via access technology and braille.
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to deliver lessons to groups of students with a vision impairment when teaching staff have a planned or unplanned absence. The post will also involve having other responsibilities to support the teaching and learning of the students depending on experience and skills. High Level Teaching Assistant Qualification or Qualified Teacher Status is essential (or working towards HLTA qualification)
We are looking to appoint a Domestic Assistant to join our Domestic Team to clean in designated areas within the main College and / or the student accommodation for 15 hours per week (3 hours per day, from 09.00, Monday to Friday). The role also requires you to work 10 days (3 hours per day) during the College holiday periods.
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant/Personal Care Assistant (LSA/PCA) to join our team of LSA/PCAs, to work with a Sixth Form Student. Temporary for 32 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the student’s needs. Contract temporary for one year, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
To raise unrestricted funds for the College and to support the Head of Fundraising to ensure the successful operation of the Fundraising Department.
