Regular gifts make a big difference as they allow us to plan for the future. They are really valuable as we know that we have a steady income stream that we can rely upon.
Your gift will enable a blind or partially sighted young person lead an independent and fulfilling life. Students like, Max, (Year 12), who explains “Before I started NCW 2 years ago I wasn’t very independent. Now I feel really positive as I do lots of different activities and I’ve made lots of new friends. I am very happy at NCW and my confidence has grown.”
Each gift really helps, and 88p from every pound donated goes towards ensuring our students have a much brighter future.
How much should I give?
Any amount you are able to give helps our students. Here are some examples of what a positive difference your regular gift could make:
£5 a month could help pay for music therapy. This kind of therapy is really valuable because some students find verbal therapy too challenging, it also boosts self-esteem and enables young people to express emotions. (£60 a year)
£10 a month could help provide specialist equipment such as adapted knives or talking scales to enable students to prepare their own snacks and meals and live independently. (£120 a year)
£15 a month could help us to provide mobility awareness training to a young person, ensuring they can travel safely and independently. (£180 a year)
