NCW Catering Team Once Again Achieves 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating

We are delighted to share some fantastic news. Following an unannounced food hygiene inspection this week, the New College Worcester Catering Team has once again been awarded the highest possible 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating.

This achievement reflects the team’s continued commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene, while consistently providing high-quality meals and excellent service to our college community.

The Catering Team plays a vital role in college life and is very much part of the fabric of NCW. Every day, they work to ensure that students receive nutritious, balanced meals that meet a wide range of dietary needs, supporting both their wellbeing and independence.

Preparing a varied menu of colourful and appetising dishes, the team takes pride in creating meals that appeal to all tastes. Many members of the Catering Team have worked at NCW for several years and know the students well, often remembering their favourite meals and individual preferences. Their friendly approach helps create a welcoming dining environment where students feel valued and supported.

Retaining this rating year after year is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved.”

Achieving a 5-star rating is a significant accomplishment, and retaining such high standards year after year is something the whole college can be proud of. The result reflects countless hours of hard work, attention to detail and commitment from every member of the Catering Team.
