This week, NCW student Faith sits down with former NCW student and Paralympic gold medallist Naomi Riches for an inspiring conversation about sport, determination and life beyond NCW. Earlier this year, Naomi returned to her old school for a special visit. During her time on campus, she met up with former teachers, toured the college grounds and enjoyed a trip down memory lane, reflecting on her time as a student at NCW and the experiences that helped shape her future. Naomi shares her journey from life at NCW to becoming one of Britain’s most successful Paralympic rowers.
The conversation explores the challenges she has overcome, the lessons she has learned through elite sport and the importance of believing in yourself, even when faced with obstacles. In 2012, Naomi won Paralympic Gold in the Mixed Coxed Four rowing event at the London Paralympic Games. She is also a multiple World Champion and has been a passionate advocate for opportunities and inclusion for people with vision impairment throughout her career.
