At NCW, we are incredibly fortunate to be supported by a wide network of charitable and corporate partners who share our mission to inspire, nurture and empower young people with vision impairment. Among these valued supporters is the wonderful Albion Foundation.
The Albion Foundation is the official charity partner of West Bromwich Albion Football Club, and their vision is to create a Proud Albion Family where individuals are engaged, inspired and achieving their potential. They use the power of football and sport to make a real, measurable difference within the local community—driven by a genuine passion for making a difference.
We are proud to say that The Albion Foundation has been a long-standing supporter of NCW, regularly visiting the college to deliver inclusive sports sessions for our students. Their visits are always a highlight—a day when The Albion Foundation visits is a good day! Their friendly, enthusiastic coaches bring energy, teamwork and confidence-building activities that our students thoroughly enjoy.
Last term, we were delighted to welcome the team once again. Thanks to additional funding they secured through the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC), they were able to deliver a special session specifically for our Year 11 and Sixth Form students. This opportunity gave our young people new ways to stay active, build mobility skills and engage in sports in a supportive and accessible environment.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to The Albion Foundation for their continued commitment to our students and for championing inclusion through sport. We look forward to many more exciting sessions in the future.
