Educating young people who are blind or vision impaired

ISO Quality Services Ltd – Charity Skydive for NCW

As a college, we are so lucky to have the support of businesses and individuals from all over the country. This month, we need to say a huge ‘NCW thank you’ to local business ISO Quality Services Ltd for supporting our Tandem Skydive in June.

Amy and Bird from ISO Quality Services have accepted the challenge and will experience an exhilarating free-fall from 10,000ft at speeds of up to 120mph attached to a qualified instructor before gliding towards the ground and landing in front of friends and family.

Please click here to see their JustGiving page below. They would love a like, share or donation to help them reach their £1000 target.

A few words from Bird, “When I was asked if I’d be interested in taking part in a Skydive to raise money for New College Worcester, my first instinct was ‘yes’, followed very closely by – ‘what have I just done?’. After pondering my sheer bravery (or stupidity), I realised that I will experience one of the best views in the world and how lucky am I that I get to see it? The young people that New College Worcester support may never have that luxury and my fear of heights shouldn’t compromise an experience that others would dream of. The work that NCW do is crucial to the development of confidence and self-esteem to individuals that are blind and vision impaired, and I think it’s brilliant that each student has a tailored programme so their individual needs are catered for. I look forward to raising money for a great cause!”

Thank you everyone at ISO Quality Services, especially Amy and Bird.

We can not wait to see photos and hear all about it!
