Fun down at the farm

This half term, students have been getting their hands a bit muddy and enjoying spending time at Bonterre Farm.

This evening activity, linked to Independent Living Skills, has enabled our students to learn just how food gets from farm to fork.

Students have also been looking at soil to harvest, animal welfare and the part that animals play in our ecosystem.

This has been such a popular after-school activity and students have thoroughly embraced this experience. From planting, digging and petting the animals – they have LOVED it all! We look forward to hearing about the forthcoming tortoise bathing!

Thank you to Bonterre for offering this marvellous experience to our young VI students.
