Step into the Christmas spirit this year and help make a difference for students who are blind or vision impaired at New College Worcester.
Join us as we launch our Step Into Christmas Challenge, where staff, students, and supporters will collectively walk an incredible 4,500 miles — the distance from NCW in Worcester all the way to visit the man in red at the North Pole!
Our festive sponsored walk to Worcester Cathedral is just one part of this exciting week-long challenge, filled with seasonal cheer and opportunities to get moving. Whether you stroll, stride, or jingle all the way, every mile recorded brings us closer to our North Pole target — and helps raise vital funds toward a new NCW minibus, supporting essential educational and community opportunities for our young people.
Let’s make this festive season one to remember — walk, laugh, and Step Into Christmas for NCW!

New College Worcester (NCW) receives no other funding apart from student placements and relies on the generosity of our community to make a real difference.
This year, all funds raised through Step Into Christmas will go toward the cost of a new NCW minibus — a vital lifeline for our students who are blind or vision impaired.
A new minibus will help us to:
Provide safe, reliable, and accessible transport for students to take part in essential off-site learning
Enable participation in enrichment activities, sports fixtures, community visits, and independent living experiences
Support staff in delivering a broader, more engaging curriculum beyond the classroom
Ensure students have the freedom to explore, connect, and build the confidence they need for life beyond NCW
Your fundraising helps us go far beyond the basics — giving every NCW student the chance to travel, experience the world around them, and thrive both in and out of college.
