Transcribe comes from the Latin ‘transcribere’, which means “to copy, write over, or transfer,” the verb transcribe means just that: to write out a copy.
As a leading hub for VI learning, our in-house Transcription department is a valuable asset.
The Transcription department is a unique area of school, where we provide students with the access to learning they need and deserve, as well as this, we are also able to support businesses and individuals with materials produced in a number of accessible formats.
Our experienced Transcription staff use the latest software and equipment to reproduce materials in Braille, large print or in tactile formats – from whole textbooks to restaurant menus. Examples include:

- Practise exam papers
- Agendas
- Booklets
